DUI, Resisting Arrest, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test Dismissed and Sealed in Rhode Island

Our client was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Resisting Arrest, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test in Rhode Island. All charges have potential penalties of the following: license suspension, ignition interlock, jail time, a criminal conviction, probation, community service, alcohol counseling or DUI classes and fines and fees. In addition, DUI and Resisting Arrest are misdemeanor criminal offense in Rhode Island

We were able to obtain evidence in the case and since our client was Active Military we were able to get them into Veterans Court in Rhode Island. Veterans Court in Rhode Island provides individuals who have served in the military and are involved in the criminal justice system with treatment and services under judicial supervision. After our client successfully completed treatment and supervision the court agreed to dismiss all the charges against our client.

After the charges were dismissed, our client’s record was sealed. Therefore, none of the charges will show up on their criminal record.
