License Suspension Reduced at Rhode Island DMV

Our client received a 1 year license suspension in Rhode Island for violating the frequent offender law. Our client believed that this was not right and wanted to be heard. We requested a hearing with the Rhode Island DMV Adjudication Unit. We argued that our client should not have their license suspended because the violations in question were related to regulatory offenses. We also argued that the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal already suspended our client’s license related to these traffic violations and that our client’s license should not be suspended further.

The board found our argument compelling and agreed to reduce the penalty to an 8 month license suspension. As a result, our clients license will be reinstated 4 months early.
