Disorderly Conduct Dismissed and Restraining Order Dismissed

February, 2025

Our client received a Disorderly Conduct charge in Rhode Island, a misdemeanor that carries potential jail time, a potential criminal record and fines. To complicate matters further, a Restraining Order was also filed against them. Understanding the serious implications of these legal charges, our attorneys took immediate action.

They started by reviewing all the documentation regarding the allegations, starting with the police reports and witness statements. Over time, they were able to highlight and pinpoint critical inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case. With this information, they engaged in strategic negotiations which ultimately led to a dismissal of the charge.

At the same time, they fought against the Superior Court Restraining Order, which was ultimately dismissed in its entirety by the judge.

This positive outcome not only protected our client’s record, preventing future consequences, but gave them a peace of mind to move forward without unnecessary legal restrictions. At Ellison Law LLC we strive for justice, no matter how complex the case may seem. If you find yourself with a criminal charge in Rhode Island, contact us to see how we can help you.
