DUI Reduced to Reckless Driving Rhode Island

Our client was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, which is a misdemeanor in Rhode Island that can result in a criminal conviction. After obtaining all of the evidence in the case, we were able to successfully convince the prosecution to reduce the charge from Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol to Reckless Driving. Our client was able to avoid having a criminal conviction and avoided a license suspension. They are eligible to have it expunged in one year, and they avoid many of the mandatory penalties required under the Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol law.
