After being wrongly accused of a crime (OUI Marijuana), Mr. Ellison was appointed to be my lawyer by a judge. He fought daily to prove my innocence in court, was always available to talk to and meet with me, and was dedicated to my case. His enthusiasm for his job was obvious and he was personally invested in my case, which seemed surprising to me for a court-appointed defender. The case was drawn out by the court system for over a year, but Mr. Ellison remained steadfast in his determination to disprove the charges against me. In person he is a great, personable guy. In the courtroom he is a savage: poised and cunning. He was unshaken when cross examining State Police officers and representatives. He was also very open to my own ideas of how to move forward with the case, but I trusted his judgement, much to my benefit. By the time we got to trial, every base was covered and the case against me fell apart as Mr. Ellison argued for my innocence. Using my own recollections of the events of the night of my arrest along with David Ellison’s proficiency in his the judicial process, we made a strong case for trial. The verdict was not guilty, and I have David Ellison to thank for that. He is empathetic, approachable, and very intelligent. Great guy, Great Lawyer.
