Not Guilty After Trial – Animal Cruelty

Our client was charged with Animal Cruelty, which is a criminal offense in Rhode Island. This charge brings potential punishments of incarceration, probation, fines, fees, and/or a criminal conviction. Our client was adamant that they did not commit this offense.

As a result, we decided to do our own investigation into the case. After reviewing discovery provided by the prosecution, we decided to select a trial date. At the trial date, the prosecution was required to bring in witnesses to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The case was decided by a judge. After two days of testimony, the judge found our client Not Guilty of all charges.
