Shoplifting Rhode Island – Dismissed and Sealed

Our client was charged with Shoplifting, which is a misdemeanor criminal offense in Rhode Island. It carries punishments of possible jail, probation, fines, and/or a criminal conviction.

After speaking with the prosecutor about the case, we were able to convince them to dismiss the charges. We then filed a sealed our client’s record, which was allowed. Therefore, this will not show up on their criminal record.
