Attorney Justin Lisi is an Associate Attorney at Ellison Law, LLC. He is deeply passionate regarding the field of criminal defense and recognizes the immense emotional toll that criminal charges can take on an individual. Justin is dedicated to advocating for those facing the intimidating prospect of navigating a complex legal system. He is aware of the vulnerability and overwhelming anxiety that often accompanies being accused of a crime.

Attorney Lisi is an experienced criminal defense attorney. He began his criminal defense career at the Rhode Island Public Defender where he handled a wide range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to people charged with serious felonies. Justin approaches every criminal case with the same level of dedication, regardless of the specific charges his clients are facing.

Prior to law school, Attorney Lisi had a nearly decade long career as a police officer in Rhode Island. His background as a police officer has proven invaluable as a criminal defense attorney. Drawing on the extensive training and real-world experience Justin gained during his time in law enforcement, he possesses a unique insider’s perspective that allows him to effectively advocate for his clients. As a former police officer, Justin intimately understands the investigative process, common tactics, training, and methods employed by law enforcement. This specialized knowledge gives him a significant edge when it comes to identifying potential weaknesses in a case, and developing innovative defense approaches tailored to the specific circumstances of each client.

Justin approaches each client with empathy and a commitment to protecting their rights and interests. He works tirelessly to secure the best possible outcomes for his clients and to restore a sense of dignity in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.

Attorney Lisi graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law. During law school, he participated in the Advanced Criminal Defense Clinic. Justin was nominated by the clinical faculty and awarded the Outstanding Clinical Student Award for excellence in clinical fieldwork, specifically criminal defense.

After high school, Justin entered active-duty enlistment in the United States Army as an Infantryman. He was deployed several times to include combat operations. Justin earned several military awards and commendations to include the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service during ground combat operations. Justin was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant after completing his term of service.

Justin was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College and a master’s degree from Roger Williams University. Justin is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island.
